Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Sorbaderm Barrier Film Spray is ready to use directly from its canister. Ensure the skin area is clean, dry, and free from lotions or oils before application.
Application: Hold the spray approximately 10-15 cm from the skin and spray a thin, even layer over the intended area. Allow the film to air dry completely (usually within 30 seconds) before applying any dressings, tapes, or medical devices. For continuous protection, reapply every 24-72 hours, or as needed, depending on skin condition and external factors.
Compatibility: This barrier film is compatible with most medical tapes, hydrocolloids, and other wound care dressings. It is also suitable for use around adhesive-based medical devices. Avoid contact with silicone-based products unless specified as compatible.
Care: Store the spray at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the nozzle clean; if it becomes blocked, remove it and rinse gently with warm water, ensuring it is completely dry before reattaching. The canister should not be punctured or incinerated, even when empty.
