FAQs

What is the maximum paper thickness I can cut at once?

The Cinch Stack Cutter is designed to handle paper stacks up to 1 inch thick.

Can I use this to cut materials other than paper?

This tool is optimized for paper products. Cutting materials like vinyl, plastic, or fabric may dull the blade or damage the cutting mechanism.

Does the cutter come with built-in measurements?

Yes, it features integrated measuring guides to help you achieve perfect alignment before every cut.

How do I maintain the cutting edge?

Keep the area clean by brushing away paper dust and debris after each use. Store in a dry, cool environment to prevent moisture-related issues.

Is this suitable for a beginner crafter?

Yes, the operation is straightforward and does not require advanced technical skills, making it accessible for crafters of all levels.

Troubleshooting

The blade is not cutting through the entire stack.

Verify that the paper stack is not thicker than 1 inch and that it is pressed firmly against the back alignment guide.

The paper edges look jagged or frayed.

Ensure the paper is flush and that you are using a smooth, continuous downward pressure rather than a staggered or jerking motion.

The unit feels unstable during use.

Ensure the device is placed on a completely level, rigid table surface and that all rubber feet are in contact with the table.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly faster than manual cutting for bulk projects
Consistently precise and clean edges
Handles thick stacks up to 1 inch
Built-in measuring tools reduce alignment errors

Cons

Requires a large dedicated workspace footprint
Heavier unit weight compared to standard paper trimmers
Not intended for non-paper materials

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Place the Cinch Stack Cutter on a flat, stable, and rigid surface, such as a heavy workbench or a dedicated craft table, to ensure safety. No complex installation is required; simply clear the workspace around the unit to allow for full arm movement. Compatibility is universal for paper types, provided the stack does not exceed the 1-inch clearance. To maintain the device, keep the cutting track free of paper dust or debris using a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners on the blade mechanism, as moisture can lead to corrosion.
