Setup, Compatibility & Care
Choosing the Right Shade
MAC foundations use a system of letters and numbers to indicate shade. The number represents the darkness of the shade (higher numbers are darker). The letter represents the undertone: C (Cool), NC (Neutral and Cool), N (Neutral), NW (Neutral and Warm), W (Warm). If in doubt, always go for the lightest shade to avoid demarcation.
Application
Apply with fingers, a sponge, or a brush, depending on your preferred coverage. Start with a small amount and build up as needed.
