The Bahco Sliding Combination Square is an essential precision tool designed for woodworkers and metalworkers who require accurate angle measurement and marking. It offers exceptional versatility by combining a 400mm rule with an adjustable handle, allowing for quick 45 and 90-degree angle checks and depth measurements. While its robust, rust-resistant metal construction ensures longevity in demanding workshop environments, users should note that the sliding mechanism requires periodic cleaning to maintain smooth movement along the blade.

No, this specific Bahco model is designed as a pure measuring and marking tool without a built-in vial.
The markings are etched into the metal, ensuring they remain legible even after long-term, heavy use.
Yes, by unscrewing the locking knob, the blade can be fully removed from the handle.
The scriber is integrated into the handle; however, it is made of hardened metal designed to last the life of the tool.
The blade is 400mm long, providing an effective measuring range of 400mm.
Clean the blade and the inner track of the handle with a cloth to remove dust or grit.
Check the locking screw for debris and ensure it is fully threaded before tightening.
Verify the square against a known reference square and ensure the contact surfaces are free from burrs or debris.
To ensure consistent performance, occasionally wipe the rule with a dry cloth to remove sawdust or metal filings that could impede the sliding mechanism. Store the tool in a dry environment to prevent any potential oxidation. Before use, ensure the locking thumb screw is tightened firmly; if you notice any play in the handle, check for obstructions in the groove. The tool is compatible with all standard workshop marking mediums, including mechanical pencils and traditional scratch awls.
