Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires a frame or fork specifically designed for the direct-mount standard.
- Ensure the mounting bolts are threaded into the frame/fork per the manufacturer's torque specifications.
- Utilize the spring tension adjuster to match the feel of the left and right arms, ensuring they return to center simultaneously.
- Adjust the pad toe-in to ensure the leading edge of the pad contacts the rim slightly before the trailing edge to prevent brake squeal.
- Periodically inspect the pivot bushings and clean debris from the arm interfaces to maintain the smooth operation provided by the coated bearings.
Always use brake pads compatible with your specific rim material (e.g., carbon vs. alloy) to ensure longevity and safety.
