Product Information
Full details
JBL Clearol is a targeted water clarifier designed for freshwater aquarium and turtle tank owners struggling with persistent turbidity or cloudy water. The product excels at binding micro-fine particles—such as bacterial blooms or green water—that are typically too small for mechanical filters to capture, causing them to settle for easy removal. While highly effective, it requires users to maintain specific water chemistry parameters (pH above 6 and KH above 5° dKH) to ensure safety and optimal performance.

FAQs
Can I use JBL Clearol in a saltwater aquarium?
No, this product is specifically formulated for freshwater aquariums and turtle tanks.
What happens if my pH or KH is too low?
The product may not work effectively and could potentially cause fluctuations in water chemistry if the buffer levels are insufficient.
How often can I dose the tank?
You should only dose as needed when cloudiness is present. Always check your water parameters before each application.
Will this harm my aquarium plants or fish?
When used according to the dosage instructions and within the required pH/KH range, it is safe for standard freshwater fish and plant communities.
Do I need to turn off the filter when dosing?
No, it is recommended to keep the filter running so that the flocculated particles can be pulled into the filter media for collection.
Troubleshooting
Water is not clearing after application
Check your pH and KH levels; the product may not work if pH is 6 or lower, or if KH is below 5° dKH.
Filter is clogging rapidly
This is normal as the product forces particles into the filter; clean your filter sponges and floss thoroughly to maintain flow.
