Setup, Compatibility & Care
Planting: Upon receiving your 9cm pots, plant them in a hole twice the width of the pot. Ensure the planting depth matches the original soil level. Water thoroughly after planting to settle the roots.
Compatibility: These shrubs pair well with drought-tolerant perennials and other cottage garden staples that thrive in similar full-sun conditions.
Care:
- Watering: Keep soil consistently moist during the first growing season while the roots establish. Once mature, they are moderately drought-tolerant.
- Pruning: Prune back the previous year's growth in early spring to encourage bushy, compact growth and prevent the plant from becoming 'leggy' or overly woody at the base.
- Soil: These plants are not fussy about soil type, but they absolutely require excellent drainage to survive.
