Product Information

Full details

The ONGREDIENTS Skin Barrier Calming Lotion is designed for adults of all skin types, especially those with sensitive or acne-prone skin looking for daily hydration and moisture barrier support. Its primary benefit is providing deep, non-greasy moisture through a blend of four types of hyaluronic acid and centella asiatica, though users should be aware that while the lightweight formula is excellent for layering, those with extremely dry skin may require an additional occlusive layer during harsh winter months.

Is the hibiscus collagen vegan?

How long should a 150ml bottle typically last?

With standard twice-daily usage, a 150ml bottle generally lasts between 2 to 3 months.

Troubleshooting

Pump is not dispensing product

Ensure the internal straw is securely attached and press the pump firmly several times to prime the mechanism.

Product feels slightly tacky upon application

Reduce the amount used; the lotion is highly concentrated, and a little goes a long way.

Skin feels tight after application

Apply the lotion to damp skin or layer an oil-based serum underneath to increase hydration depth.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Lightweight, fast-absorbing texture that leaves no sticky residue
Hypoallergenic and suitable for acne-prone skin
Generous 150ml jumbo size offers excellent value for daily use
Free from common irritants like fragrance and alcohol
Effectively calms redness using centella asiatica

Cons

May not provide enough heavy-duty moisture for extremely dry skin types
Requires layering with an SPF product during the day
The 150ml bottle, while a great value, is less portable for travel

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To integrate this lotion into your routine, apply it after your serums and before your sunscreen or heavy creams. It is compatible with most active ingredients, including Vitamin C, niacinamide, and gentle acids. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the peptides and botanical extracts. Always ensure the pump is wiped clean after use to prevent product build-up in the nozzle.
