The Hozelock 2804 Automatic Watering Kit is designed for gardeners looking to automate irrigation for up to 25 potted plants, hanging baskets, or small hedges. It offers a significant efficiency boost by delivering water directly to the root zone, saving up to 90% more water than traditional spray methods; however, users should note that the system requires a tap connection and careful planning of the tube layout for optimal distribution.

The kit is optimized for 25 pots, but adding too many additional drippers may reduce the water pressure significantly at the end of the line.
This system is generally designed for mains water pressure; gravity-fed systems may lack the necessary pressure to operate the drippers effectively.
Disconnect the controller from the tap, remove the batteries, and empty the tubes of all water to prevent damage from freezing.
The controller allows for a maximum irrigation duration of 60 minutes per cycle.
While technically possible, it is intended for outdoor use due to the risk of leaks and the requirement for a garden tap connection.
Check the micro-tube for kinks or blockages and ensure the main supply line has adequate water pressure.
Verify the battery connection and ensure the water tap is fully turned on.
Adjust the positioning of the drippers and ensure the supply tube is not pinched anywhere along the line.
To set up the system, begin by connecting the Select Controller to your outdoor tap. Lay out your supply tube along your chosen path, securing it with clips if necessary. Cut the micro-tubes to the required lengths to reach each pot, inserting a dripper at the end of each line. Ensure the system is flushed before final assembly to prevent debris from clogging the drippers. For care, periodically check for kinks in the tubes and ensure that the controller battery (if applicable) is replaced seasonally. In regions with freezing winters, disconnect the controller and drain the tubes to prevent ice damage.
