Setup, Compatibility & Care
Planting: Plant the bulbs during autumn in a location that receives full sun. Ensure the soil is light and well-draining. If using compost in containers, choose a high-quality, free-draining bulb compost.
Compatibility: These tulips look best when mass-planted. They complement wallflowers and other spring-flowering annuals well, adding height and elegance to a mixed display.
Maintenance: Water the bulbs immediately after planting to settle the soil. During the winter, keep the soil moist but not wet. After the blooming period ends, remove the flower heads but keep the leaves; the foliage needs to photosynthesize to fuel the bulb for next year's cycle.
