FAQs
Is this paint safe for toddlers?
The paint is non-toxic, but it is recommended for children 3 years and older.
Can this paint be used on skin?
This is a poster paint intended for materials like paper, wood, and plaster, not for use as body paint.
How do I create new colors?
Use the included white to lighten colors or mix the red, blue, and yellow to create secondary colors like orange, green, and purple.
Does the paint require a primer on wood?
No, it is opaque enough to be applied directly to clean, unfinished wood.
How long does it take to dry?
Drying time depends on the thickness of the application, but it generally dries to the touch within a few hours.
Troubleshooting
Paint has become dry or thick inside the jar.
Add a very small amount of water to the jar and stir thoroughly to restore the creamy consistency.
Paint left a stain on clothing.
Soak the fabric in warm, soapy water and gently rub the stain before laundering as usual.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Non-toxic formula safe for children
- Easy to wash out of most fabrics
- Opaque, high-coverage finish
- Durable, resealable jars
Cons
- Not suitable for children under 3 years
- Limited to six base colors (requires mixing for others)

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best results, prepare your workspace by covering surfaces with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth. While the paint is washable, it is best to have children wear aprons to protect clothing.
- Compatibility: Works best on paper, cardboard, wood, and plaster. Ensure surfaces are dry and free of dust before painting.
- Cleanup: Wash brushes and tools with warm, soapy water immediately after use. If paint gets on clothing, rinse the affected area with cold water and use a mild detergent before the paint dries completely.
- Storage: Always ensure the jar lids are pressed down firmly until they click shut. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the pigments.
