Setup, Compatibility & Care
This blade features a standard universal S-shank, meaning it is compatible with all reciprocating saws that accept the standard shank design. To install, ensure the saw is powered off or unplugged, slide the blade into the locking mechanism until it clicks, and verify it is securely held in place.
To maximize blade life:
- Use the appropriate stroke rate for metal (usually lower speeds are better for heat management).
- Avoid side-loading the blade, as this can cause the carbide teeth to chip.
- Clean the blade periodically with a degreaser if cutting through oily metal pipes to prevent buildup.
- Store in a dry environment to prevent premature oxidation of the blade body.
