Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure a perfect fit, ensure the rug is positioned 2-4 inches in front of the wither. Secure the chest clips first, then fasten the low-cross surcingles for a snug, secure fit that relieves spinal pressure. Because the material is coated with Teflon, it naturally repels stains and moisture; however, when the rug becomes dirty, use a soft brush to remove dried mud. For deep cleaning, use mild, non-detergent soap designed for technical horse rugs to avoid stripping the waterproof membrane. Always allow the rug to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storage. The rug is compatible with the Premier Equine liner system if you decide to increase warmth for unexpected temperature drops.
