The Keypak 300mm Extended Cabin Hook is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking for a secure, long-reach solution to hold open heavy doors, gates, or shutters. This hardware provides the necessary leverage for larger gaps and features a timeless bronze finish that suits traditional aesthetics. While it offers excellent reach and durability, the 300mm length requires careful measurement of the mounting surface to ensure the hook and eye alignment remains stable under wind pressure.

This hook has a total length of 300mm, providing significant reach for larger door or gate gaps.
Yes, the product includes all necessary fixings and mounting hardware for immediate installation.
Yes, it is designed for durability and is suitable for outdoor use on gates, shutters, and doors.
The bronze finish is durable, but as with any outdoor metal hardware, regular cleaning helps maintain its appearance and prevent surface oxidation.
The provided screws are typically intended for wood. If mounting on metal, you may need to source appropriate self-tapping screws or bolts.
Check your mounting placement; ensure the hook and eye are aligned on the same horizontal plane and that the distance between the two mounting points does not exceed the effective reach of the 300mm arm.
Ensure the eye is installed at a slight upward angle relative to the hook, or check if the gate is sagging, which may be shifting the hook out of alignment.
Installation requires only a standard drill or screwdriver. First, hold the hook and eye in the desired position to ensure the hook sits comfortably in the eye without tension. Mark the pilot holes using a pencil, then drill small pilot holes to prevent the wood from splitting. Fasten the mounting plates using the provided screws. For maintenance, simply wipe the bronze surface with a soft, damp cloth every few months to remove dirt or debris. If the hook begins to feel stiff, a light application of silicone-based lubricant on the pivot point will restore smooth performance.
