FAQs

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

The lantern will illuminate for up to 6 hours after a full day's charge in a sunny spot.

Can I choose a specific color or turn off the color-changing feature?

No, the lantern is designed to cycle through a spectrum of colors automatically. There is no option to select a specific color or to turn off the color-changing feature while it is illuminated.

Is this lantern suitable for rainy weather?

Yes, the lantern has an IP44 rating, which means it is protected against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for use in outdoor gardens and patios, including during light rain.

How do I clean the solar panel?

Gently wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the surface.

Do I need to replace the battery?

The lantern comes with a rechargeable battery. While rechargeable batteries have a limited lifespan, you should not need to replace it frequently. If illumination time significantly decreases, the battery may need replacement.

Can this lantern be used indoors?

While the lantern is designed for outdoor use, it can be used indoors if placed near a window that receives direct sunlight for charging. However, its primary purpose and durability are optimized for outdoor environments.

What are the dimensions of the lantern?

The lantern measures (H) 17 x (D) 20cm.

Troubleshooting

Lantern does not illuminate at night.

Ensure the ON/OFF switch is set to 'ON'. Check that the solar panel is clean and free from debris. Verify that the lantern received adequate direct sunlight for charging throughout the day. The rechargeable battery may need time to charge fully on the first use.

Lantern illuminates during the day.

Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position. The sensor that detects darkness might be overly sensitive or obstructed. Try moving the lantern to a location with less ambient light during daytime hours or switch it to 'OFF' manually until evening.

Color-changing feature is not working or is stuck on one color.

Turn the lantern off using the ON/OFF switch, wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on. If the issue persists, the internal LED may require servicing or replacement.

Short illumination time (less than 6 hours).

The lantern may not have received sufficient direct sunlight for a full charge. Ensure it is placed in an unobstructed sunny spot for at least 6-8 hours. Performance can also be affected by cold weather or if the rechargeable battery is nearing the end of its lifespan.
