Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These waders are designed to be used with separate wading boots. Ensure your wading boots fit snugly over the stockingfoot part of the waders. The stockingfoot is designed to be worn inside your wading boot, with gravel guards fitting over the top of the boot to prevent debris entry.
Compatibility: Compatible with most standard wading boots. The stockingfoot design accommodates various boot sizes, but a good fit between the wader and boot is essential for comfort and performance.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, rinse the waders thoroughly with fresh, cold water to remove dirt, salt, or chlorine. If necessary, use a mild soap and a soft brush for stubborn dirt. Avoid harsh detergents or solvents.
- Drying: Always hang the waders to dry completely, ideally in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight or high heat, as this can degrade the fabric and waterproof coatings. Ensure the inside is also dry before storing.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from sharp objects. Avoid folding them tightly in a way that creates permanent creases, especially around the zip. Hanging is the preferred storage method.
- Zipper Care: Periodically clean the TiZip® zipper with a soft brush and mild soap. Lubricate the zipper with a specialized zipper lubricant designed for waterproof zippers to ensure smooth operation and prevent sticking. Ensure the zipper is fully closed and clean before storage.
