Extended Product Information

FAQs

Can I plant directly into the Florian pot?

It is not recommended, as the pot lacks drainage holes. Using a nursery pot inside is the best way to prevent root rot.

Is this pot safe for outdoor use?

No, this product is specifically designed for indoor use only.

What are the exact dimensions?

The Florian pot has a diameter of 37.5cm and a height of 33cm.

How do I clean the exterior?

Use a soft, dry cloth or a slightly dampened cloth without harsh chemicals to preserve the textured glaze.

Where is the Florian pot made?

Each Florian plant pot holder is crafted in Portugal.

Does the chocolate color look different from the others?

Yes, while the black and white versions feature a textured matt glaze, the chocolate version features a unique sparkly glaze.

Troubleshooting

Water pooling inside the pot

Remove the inner nursery pot, wipe the inside of the Florian pot dry with a towel, and ensure the nursery pot is fully drained before returning it to the holder.

Scratches on the surface of furniture

Affix self-adhesive felt furniture pads to the bottom rim of the earthenware pot to prevent friction and scratches.

Glaze appears dusty or dull

Gently buff the surface with a soft, dry lint-free cloth to restore the intended matte texture.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality artisanal construction from Portugal
Sophisticated matte and textured finish options
Large capacity suitable for substantial indoor plants
Neutral aesthetic that fits many home decor styles

Cons

Not suitable for outdoor exposure
No integrated drainage holes
Hand-finished nature means variations may occur
Large footprint requires sufficient surface space

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your Florian pot holder, ensure the surface it rests on is level and can support the weight of a large plant pot filled with damp soil. To maintain the integrity of the earthenware, handle the pot gently to avoid chipping the glazed finish. For cleaning, simply wipe the exterior with a dry or lightly dampened microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these may damage the textured matt or sparkly glaze finishes. Since the pot is porous earthenware, consider placing a small felt pad or a saucer inside the base to catch any accidental condensation or stray water drops if the inner nursery pot leaks.
