Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Tissot PR100 38mm typically arrives ready to wear. The crown is usually in the 'stop' position to conserve battery. To set the time, gently pull the crown outwards to the first or second position (depending on the movement) and rotate it to your desired time. Push the crown back in fully. If your watch has a date function, consult the specific manual for setting the date to avoid damaging the mechanism, especially between 9 PM and 3 AM.
Compatibility: This is a traditional analog watch, so compatibility refers to its suitability for different activities and attire. It is designed to be compatible with most casual, business casual, and formal wear. For water-related activities, always check the specific water resistance rating of your model (e.g., 100m WR) and ensure the crown is fully screwed down or pushed in.
Care: To maintain your Tissot PR100:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Strap/Bracelet: If your watch has a leather strap, avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight to prevent drying and cracking. Metal bracelets can be cleaned gently with a soft brush.
- Storage: Store your watch in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a soft pouch, when not in use.
- Servicing: It is recommended to have your watch serviced by an authorized Tissot service center approximately every 3-5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
