The lantern requires 2 x Type C batteries, which are sold separately.

Can this lantern be used outdoors?

Yes, the lantern is IP44 rated for outdoor use, making it resistant to water splashes. However, it's best to provide some shelter during heavy rain or prolonged exposure to harsh weather.

How does the 6-hour timer work?

When the switch is set to the timer position, the candle will illuminate for 6 hours and then automatically turn off for 18 hours, before turning on again at the same time the next day.

The TruGlow® LED candle is designed to be housed within the lantern. While the candle itself is not typically sold separately, if it malfunctions, the entire lantern unit may need to be replaced.

Troubleshooting

Lantern light does not turn on

Ensure that 2 x C batteries are correctly inserted in the candle base with the correct polarity. Check if the switch is set to ON or TIMER. Replace batteries if they are depleted.

LED candle flickers erratically or is dim

This may indicate low battery power. Replace the batteries with fresh ones. Ensure the battery contacts are clean.

Timer function is not working

Verify the switch is set to the TIMER position. Ensure the batteries have sufficient power. The timer operates on a 6-hour cycle from when it is first switched to TIMER mode.

Outdoor use in rain

The lantern is IP44 rated, meaning it is protected against water splashes. It is not designed to be submerged in water or exposed to heavy rain for prolonged periods. Store in a sheltered location or bring indoors during heavy downpours.
