Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the AORUS Gen4 7300 is straightforward, requiring only an available M.2 2280 slot on your motherboard.
- Ensure your system's motherboard supports PCIe 4.0 x4 for full speed; it is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 but will run at lower speeds.
- Gently insert the drive into the M.2 slot and secure it with the integrated motherboard screw.
- If installing in a PS5, ensure the device is powered down and the console's expansion slot cover is removed before installation.
For ongoing care, keep the airflow in your PC case consistent. While the heatsink is highly efficient, having at least minimal case airflow will help maintain the drive's longevity and performance. Use the GIGABYTE Control Center (GCC) software to monitor drive health and check for firmware updates periodically.
