Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any dirt, grease, or dust.
- Measure and cut the vinyl film to the desired size, allowing a small overlap if needed.
- Slowly peel back the backing paper from one edge.
- Carefully apply the film to the surface, smoothing it down as you go with a squeegee or credit card to push out air bubbles.
- If you make a mistake, gently peel the film back and reapply.
- Trim any excess material with a sharp craft knife.
- For wet areas like sinks, apply a silicone sealant around the edges once the film is in place.
Compatibility:
This vinyl wrap is best suited for smooth, non-porous surfaces such as:
- Laminate countertops
- Painted wood or MDF (ensure paint is fully cured)
- Glass
- Metal
- Finished furniture
It may not adhere well to heavily textured, porous, or uneven surfaces.
Care:
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the glossy finish.
- Always use mats for hot pans and food preparation.
