The Dekton Magnetic Pick-Up Tool (DT60732) is designed for mechanics, DIY enthusiasts, and home maintenance workers who frequently need to retrieve small metal items from inaccessible areas. Its primary benefit is the combination of a high-powered magnet with an integrated LED light, allowing users to see and grasp objects in dim environments like engine bays or behind furniture. The primary caveat is that its 2.23kg lifting capacity is intended for smaller hardware, and it should not be used to lift heavy tools or structural components.

The tool is rated for a lifting capacity of up to 2.23kg (5lbs).
Yes, the unit comes with 3 LR44 batteries already installed.
The rod extends to a total length of 810mm.
No, the magnet will only retrieve ferrous metals like steel or iron.
The LED component is integrated into the head; if the light fails, verify the battery connection, but otherwise, the unit is a sealed assembly.
The handle is water-resistant, but the unit should not be submerged in water to protect the electronic components and batteries.
Check that the battery compartment is tight and ensure the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
Wipe the rod with a clean, dry cloth to remove dirt or debris; avoid using heavy lubricants that may attract more grit.
Ensure the object being retrieved is made of a ferrous metal (steel or iron) and that the face of the magnet is clean.
The Dekton Pick-Up Tool arrives pre-loaded with 3 LR44 batteries. To set up, simply remove any battery insulation tab if present. When the LED starts to dim, replace the batteries by unscrewing the cap on the handle. Keep the telescopic rod clean and free of heavy oil or grit to ensure smooth operation during extension and retraction. Avoid dropping the tool on hard concrete to prevent damage to the LED circuit or the magnetic head.
