FAQs
Is the waste fitting included with the shower tray?
No, the matching waste is sold separately and needs to be purchased in addition to the shower tray.
What are the main benefits of the slip-resistant feature?
The slip-resistant surface significantly enhances safety by providing better grip, reducing the risk of falls, especially when the tray is wet.
Can this tray be used with any shower enclosure?
While it is designed to be compatible with Balterley shower enclosures, it can be used with other enclosures designed for an 800mm square shower tray. Always check dimensions and compatibility.
How does the reversible design benefit installation?
The reversible design means the waste outlet can be positioned on either the left or right side, offering flexibility to match your bathroom's plumbing and layout.
What is the advantage of the slimline design?
The slimline design provides a modern, minimalist aesthetic and is particularly beneficial for smaller bathrooms or en-suites where it contributes to a less cluttered feel and easier access.
How should I clean the shower tray?
Clean regularly with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents to protect the surface finish.
Is professional installation recommended?
While the flat underside aids installation, professional fitting is recommended to ensure correct alignment, secure connections, and adherence to building regulations.
Troubleshooting
Tray is not level
Ensure the subfloor is properly prepared and level. Adjust any supporting elements beneath the tray as needed before final fixing.
Water is not draining effectively
Check that the waste trap (sold separately) is correctly installed and not blocked. Ensure the tray is installed with a slight fall towards the waste outlet.
Surface appears dull or stained
Clean using a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or scouring pads.
Difficulty aligning shower enclosure
Verify that the shower enclosure is specifically designed for an 800mm square tray and that the tray is positioned correctly as per installation instructions.
