Is the fur real animal hair?

No, all Douglas plush toys are made from premium synthetic materials and are 100% animal-friendly.

How should I dry the plush after spot cleaning?

Always air dry the plush naturally. Keep it away from direct sunlight and artificial heaters to prevent material degradation.

Troubleshooting

Fur becomes matted or tangled

Use a clean, soft-bristled brush to gently comb the fur in the direction of the nap.

Surface stains on the fur

Gently wipe the spot with a damp cloth and mild soap; do not rub vigorously to prevent fiber damage.

The plush does not sit flat

Adjust the weighted paws to ensure they are positioned evenly on the surface.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

No assembly is required for the Douglas Maizie plush; it is ready for use immediately upon unboxing. To ensure the longest lifespan for the product, keep it away from direct heat sources and abrasive cleaning agents. If the plush becomes dusty, a gentle shaking or a soft-bristled brush can help restore the fur's appearance. For spot cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap, dab the affected area gently, and allow it to air dry completely. Do not submerge the plush in water or attempt to dry it in a clothes dryer, as high heat can permanently damage the synthetic fibers.
