Full details

The Antec Skeleton 360 ARGB is a high-performance, all-in-one liquid CPU cooler designed for gamers and creators who demand superior cooling and customizable aesthetics. Its standout feature is the unique Skeleton-Frame pump design with vibrant ARGB lighting, offering powerful heat dissipation via a 360mm aluminum radiator and three 120mm PWM fans. While it provides excellent cooling and visual appeal, users should be aware that the extensive lighting may increase power draw on certain systems.

FAQs

What is the lifespan of the pump and fans?

The pump is rated for a Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) of 40,000 hours, and the fans have an MTTF of 50,000 hours.

Does the Antec Skeleton 360 ARGB support Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM5 sockets?

Yes, it supports the latest Intel LGA 1700 and 1851 sockets, as well as AMD AM5 sockets, along with a wide range of previous generation sockets.

How do I control the ARGB lighting?

The ARGB lighting is typically controlled via a 3-pin connector to your motherboard's ARGB header. You will need compatible motherboard software or a dedicated ARGB controller to customize colors and effects.

What are the maximum airflow and air pressure of the fans?

The fans can deliver a maximum airflow of 72.29 CFM and a static air pressure of 3.28 mmH2O.

Is it difficult to install the 360mm radiator?

Installation complexity depends on your PC case. The flexible tubing aids in routing, but ensure your case has sufficient clearance and mounting points for a 360mm radiator.

What is the noise level of the cooler?

The pump operates at 30 dB(A) or less. The fans' noise level can range from approximately 20 dB (at 800 RPM) up to 32 dB at their maximum speed (2000 RPM).

Can I use the cooler without the ARGB lighting?

While the lighting is a key feature, you can choose not to connect the ARGB cables if you prefer to disable the illumination. The cooler will still function effectively.

Troubleshooting

Pump not spinning or making noise

Verify the pump is securely connected to the motherboard's pump or AIO header (often a 4-pin connector). Ensure the pump cable is not obstructed and try a different compatible header if available.

Fans not spinning

Check that the fan's 4-pin PWM connector is properly seated on the motherboard or fan controller. Ensure the fan RPM signal is recognized by the system's BIOS or monitoring software.

CPU temperature is high

Confirm the pump is running and fans are spinning at adequate speeds. Ensure the copper base plate is making full contact with the CPU and that thermal paste was applied correctly. Check radiator and fan for dust buildup and clean if necessary.

ARGB lighting not working

Verify the 3-pin ARGB connector is securely plugged into a compatible motherboard ARGB header. Ensure the lighting control software is installed and configured correctly, and that the header is enabled in the BIOS if necessary.

System not booting or unstable

Double-check all power and data connections for the cooler, fans, and pump. Ensure the cooler's mounting hardware is not causing interference with other motherboard components.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional cooling performance for demanding CPUs.
  • Striking visual appeal with customizable ARGB lighting.
  • Wide compatibility with modern Intel and AMD platforms.
  • High airflow and static pressure from the included fans.
  • Durable construction with a copper base plate and robust pump (40,000-hour lifespan).

Cons

  • The extensive ARGB lighting might be overkill for users seeking a minimalist build.
  • 360mm radiator size requires significant case space.
  • Fan noise can reach up to 32 dB at maximum speed.
  • Pump noise, while rated at 30 dB, can be audible in very quiet environments.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Compatibility: The Antec Skeleton 360 ARGB is designed for broad compatibility, supporting Intel sockets LGA 115X, 1200, 1700, 1851, and 20XX, as well as AMD sockets AM3, AM4, and AM5. Ensure your PC case has adequate mounting space for a 360mm radiator (typically 3x 120mm fan mounts, often on the top or front of the case).

Setup:

  1. Mount the radiator and fans in your desired case location.
  2. Apply thermal paste to the CPU.
  3. Attach the mounting bracket to the motherboard according to the CPU socket type.
  4. Secure the pump block onto the CPU.
  5. Connect the pump and fan cables to the appropriate motherboard headers (CPU_FAN, AIO_PUMP, or SYS_FAN) and the ARGB cables to a 3-pin ARGB header.

Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:

  • Regularly clean dust from the radiator fins and fan blades using compressed air. Avoid using excessive force that could damage the fins.
  • Periodically check that all fan and pump connections are secure.
  • Ensure the pump's 40,000-hour lifespan is considered for long-term system planning.
