Product Information

Full details

The TEDDY BOUCLE Ottoman Storage Bed is designed for individuals living in smaller spaces who need a functional storage solution without sacrificing modern bedroom aesthetics. Its primary benefit is the efficient use of vertical space through a user-friendly gas-lift mechanism that reveals a spacious, dust-protected storage area, making it ideal for storing seasonal linens or bulky items. A notable caveat is that the included 13.5g interlinked spring mattress is designed for guest or light, occasional use, and may not provide the long-term support required for heavy daily sleepers.

FAQs

Does the bed come with a mattress?

Yes, it includes a 13.5g interlinked spring mattress approximately 17cm deep.

Is the storage area waterproof?

No, the interior lining protects against dust but is not waterproof.

How much weight can the storage compartment hold?

While the frame is durable, it is best practice to distribute weight evenly across the base rather than piling heavy items in one specific spot.

Can I use my own mattress instead of the one provided?

Yes, as long as it fits the dimensions of the bed frame, you can use a different mattress.

Is assembly difficult for one person?

It is recommended to have two people assemble the bed due to the size and weight of the frame and the gas-lift components.

Troubleshooting

The gas-lift mechanism feels stiff or won't stay up

The mechanism often requires the weight of the mattress to function correctly. Ensure the mattress is properly positioned on the frame before testing.

The frame feels wobbly after assembly

Double-check that all bolts and screws are tightened securely according to the manual instructions.

The storage area is collecting dust

Ensure the dust-proof base lining is correctly positioned and that the frame is closing tightly against the base.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly of the TEDDY BOUCLE bed involves constructing the metal frame and attaching the gas-lift hardware. Ensure you have adequate floor space during assembly to align the frame components properly. Once assembled, the bed is compatible with most standard room layouts. To care for the piece, vacuum the boucle fabric regularly using an upholstery attachment to prevent dust build-up. For the storage area, periodically wipe the interior base lining with a dry cloth to ensure the interior remains clean. The mattress should be rotated occasionally to ensure even wear if it is used frequently.
