No, these mills are not dishwasher safe. They should be hand-washed with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then dried thoroughly.
These mills are designed for standard peppercorns and salt crystals. Avoid very coarse sea salt or other hard spices that could damage the ceramic grinding mechanism.
If the grinding feels stiff, unscrew the top, turn the mill upside down, and gently brush any debris from the ceramic gears with a small brush. Ensure no salt or pepper residue remains.
The mills are crafted from durable 18/8 stainless steel with a mirror finish.
No, the mills are sold empty and require you to fill them with your preferred salt and peppercorns.
Ensure the mill is not overfilled. Check that the cap is screwed on properly and that no peppercorns or salt crystals are lodged in the grinding mechanism.
The ceramic gears may need cleaning. Unscrew the cap and gently brush away any residue from the gears. Ensure you are using uniformly sized peppercorns or salt crystals.
Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp microfiber cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution and rinse with a clean damp cloth, then dry immediately with a soft, dry cloth.
Setup: To set up your mills, unscrew the top cap, fill the inner chamber with your preferred salt crystals or peppercorns, and then screw the cap back on securely. For optimal performance, ensure the mills are not overfilled.
Compatibility: These mills are designed for use with standard salt and peppercorns. They are not intended for other spices or coarse sea salt that may damage the ceramic gears.
Care: To clean the exterior, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, especially on the mirror finish, as this can cause scratches. The mills should not be submerged in water or placed in a dishwasher. Allow them to air dry completely before refilling or storing.
