Kenable Balanced XLR 3 Pin Socket to 6.35mm Male Stereo Jack Plug Cable - Black - 5m

This cable is designed for balanced mono signal transmission, even though it has a stereo jack. It is not intended for typical unbalanced stereo audio sources like consumer headphones or standard stereo line-out jacks.

Balanced audio uses three conductors (positive, negative, and ground) to cancel out interference and noise, allowing for longer cable runs and cleaner signals. Unbalanced audio typically uses two conductors and is more susceptible to noise, especially over longer distances.

It may work with some mono 6.35mm inputs, but it's designed for balanced connections. The stereo plug might not make full contact in a mono jack, or the signal handling might differ depending on the input's design.

It means the cable contains two signal wires (cores) plus a separate braided or foil shield (screen) around them. This shield helps to block electromagnetic interference from reaching the signal wires.

This cable is designed for microphone and line-level balanced signals. For most electric guitars, which have unbalanced mono outputs, a standard unbalanced 6.35mm mono jack cable is generally more appropriate.

Use a dry, soft cloth to gently wipe the metal connectors. Avoid using liquids or abrasive materials, which could damage the plating or internal connections.

Ensure both XLR and 6.35mm connectors are fully seated in their respective sockets. Check that the destination device is configured for a balanced stereo or mono input. Test with a different cable or different equipment to isolate the issue.

Verify that the cable is being used with balanced inputs on both ends where possible. Ensure all equipment is properly grounded. Check for nearby sources of electrical interference (e.g., power cables, fluorescent lights).

This cable is designed for professional use and may feel more robust than typical consumer cables. However, avoid extreme bending or crushing. If damage is suspected, replace the cable.
