Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the OX 982D requires access to your vehicle's oil filter housing, usually found at the top or side of the engine block.
- Use a compatible oil filter housing wrench to loosen the cover.
- Carefully extract the old filter insert and dispose of it responsibly.
- Remove the old O-ring seal from the housing cap and replace it with the new one included in your MAHLE package.
- Ensure the new filter clicks into place within the housing.
- Tighten the cap to the manufacturer's specified torque rating to prevent oil leaks.
Compatibility should be verified by checking your vehicle owner's manual or using an online parts lookup tool to ensure the OX 982D matches your specific engine code.
