FAQs
Will this fit a 230g canister?
No, this sleeve is specifically designed for 500g canisters.
Can the loops hold a full-sized kitchen spoon?
The loops are designed for standard lightweight camping spoons or smaller cutlery commonly used in outdoor cooking.
Is the sleeve insulated?
No, the sleeve is primarily for protection and organization, not for insulating the gas canister against cold weather.
How do I clean the sleeve?
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and allow it to air dry.
Does it come with a spoon or lighter?
No, the sleeve is sold as an empty accessory cover; the loops are provided for you to store your own tools.
Troubleshooting
The sleeve feels too loose on the canister.
Verify that your gas canister is a standard 500g size. Smaller canisters will not seat correctly in this specific sleeve size.
Zipper is stiff or stuck.
Check the zipper track for grit or sand. Carefully clean the teeth with a soft brush and ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper mechanism.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Integrated elastic loops for essential cooking tools
- Durable zipped base for easy loading
- Signature Fox Camolite aesthetic
- Protective material helps prevent scratches and scuffs on canisters
Cons
- Exclusively sized for 500g canisters
- Does not provide thermal insulation
- Only fits standard canister shapes
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install your gas canister, simply unzip the base of the sleeve and slide the canister inside. Ensure the canister is pushed fully into the sleeve before zipping the base shut to keep the fit snug.
- Compatibility: Designed specifically for 500g gas canisters. Do not attempt to use with 100g or 230g canisters as they will be loose and the accessory loops will not be positioned correctly.
- Care: Keep the sleeve clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth. If the sleeve becomes muddy or covered in debris, ensure it is air-dried completely before storing it away in your kit bag to prevent mildew.
