Product Information

Full details

The Fox Zig Rig Storage System is designed for serious carp anglers who require an efficient, tangle-free way to manage multiple zig rigs while on the water. By utilizing high-capacity foam disks in a protective neoprene case, this system ensures your hookbaits and lines remain organized and in peak condition, though the foam storage method does require careful handling to avoid hook point dulling.

FAQs

How many rigs can the system hold?

The system includes five disks, each capable of holding three rigs, for a total of 15 rigs.

Does one wrap around the disk equal a specific length?

Yes, one full wrap around the foam disk is exactly 1ft or 300mm.

Are the pins included in the kit?

Yes, the set comes with 20 pins to help secure your rigs.

Can I store different length rigs on the same disk?

Yes, the disk design allows you to pin rigs at various intervals to achieve different lengths.

Is the outer case waterproof?

The case is made of protective neoprene, which offers splash resistance and protection during transport, though it is not fully submersible.

Troubleshooting

Line is coiling despite using the disks

Ensure you are wrapping the line consistently around the full circumference and not pulling it too tightly during the wrapping process.

Hook points are becoming dull

Be careful when inserting hooks into the foam; avoid pushing the hook point directly into the hard plastic or dense center of the disk.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Large diameter disks significantly reduce line coiling
Easy to measure rig lengths using the 1ft per wrap system
Compact and durable zipped neoprene storage case
High capacity allows for 15 organized rigs
Removable disks for easy access on the bank

Cons

Pins can be easy to misplace if not stored carefully
Foam can wear over time with repeated pinning
Requires manual wrapping to ensure exact measurements

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your storage, start by inserting the hook into the outer edge of the foam disk and wrapping the line around the perimeter. Use the included pins to secure the swivel or loop at the desired length. When not in use, ensure all rigs are pinned securely to prevent them from becoming loose inside the case. The neoprene case should be wiped down with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty. Periodically check the foam disks for deep incisions; while the foam is durable, replacing it after several seasons of heavy use will ensure your hooks remain securely held.
