Product Information
Full details
The Fox Edges Camo Tadpole Inline Inserts are designed for carp anglers looking to optimize their inline lead systems for better hooking efficiency and improved fish safety. These inserts transform standard inline leads into semi-fixed shocker rigs, providing the resistance required for a solid hook set before releasing the lead during a fight. While they are a significant upgrade for presentation and fish welfare, they require precise matching with specific Fox inline lead models to ensure proper functionality.

FAQs
Can I use these with any brand of lead?
These are designed specifically for Fox inline leads and may not fit securely or function correctly with other brands.
Does this make the rig safer for the fish?
Yes, by allowing the lead to become free-running once the fish is hooked, it minimizes the risk of the fish shaking the hook during the fight.
How many come in a pack?
Each pack contains 10 individual Tadpole Inline Inserts.
Will the camo finish wear off?
The colour is molded into the material, so it will not flake or peel like a coating.
Is this a fixed lead system?
It is a 'semi-fixed' system. It provides resistance for the take, but releases to become a running rig during the fight.
Troubleshooting
Lead is too loose and slides off too easily
Ensure the insert is fully seated within the lead body; if the issue persists, check if the inner cavity of the lead has debris preventing a snug fit.
Lead is not ejecting correctly
Verify that your swivel size is compatible with the insert and that no excess line or debris is obstructing the release path.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Significantly improves hooking mechanics compared to standard fixed leads
- Increases fish welfare by allowing the lead to separate during the fight
- Discreet camo finish reduces rig visibility to wary fish
- Easy to install as a direct replacement for stock inserts
Cons
- Only compatible with specific Fox inline lead models
- Cannot be used as a fully fixed lead setup
- Small components can be difficult to manage in low-light conditions
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, remove your existing standard inline insert from your Fox lead and slide the Tadpole insert into the center cavity until it clicks firmly into place. Ensure your swivel is pulled into the narrower end of the insert to maintain the semi-fixed tension.
Compatibility: These inserts are precision-engineered for Fox inline leads. They may not fit aftermarket leads or other brands securely.
Care: Rinse the leads and inserts in fresh water after each session to remove silt or lake debris. Inspect the flexible ridge for signs of wear or hardening after heavy use, as a damaged ridge may fail to provide the correct release tension. Store in a cool, dry place to prevent the plastic material from degrading.
