Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To set up the pedestal body mounting bracket, first determine the desired mounting location. Align the bracket with the surface and mark the positions of the predrilled holes. Use appropriate fasteners (e.g., bolts, screws) and tools to securely attach the bracket. Ensure all fasteners are tightened appropriately to prevent movement.
Compatibility: These brackets are ideal for use on trucks and trailers for general body mounting. While they were previously used on older Ford Transit models, they are versatile enough for various custom applications. It is recommended to verify hole alignment with your specific application before drilling or permanent fastening.
Care: As the brackets are made of steel, they may be susceptible to rust if exposed to prolonged moisture or corrosive elements. It is advisable to clean them regularly with a dry cloth. For extended durability, especially in harsh environments, consider applying a protective coating like paint or rust inhibitor after installation.
