Full details

The Draper Dual Lens Endoscope Inspection Camera is an essential tool for tradespeople, mechanics, and DIY enthusiasts who need to inspect confined spaces like wall cavities, drainage pipes, and complex engine components. Its dual-lens system offers versatile viewing angles, while the 5m semi-rigid cable provides the perfect balance of reach and maneuverability for deep access. While the unit provides excellent clarity, users should note that the semi-rigid cable requires careful handling to prevent permanent kinking during storage.

FAQs

Does this device record video?

The Draper Dual Lens Endoscope is primarily designed for live inspection; please check your specific unit model's manual for local recording features.

Can the cable be submerged in water?

The camera head is designed to be moisture-resistant for inspection in pipes, but it is not intended for long-term submersion at depth.

How do I switch between the two lenses?

Most models feature a dedicated button on the main control unit to toggle between the front and side-facing cameras.

How long does the battery last?

The integrated lithium-ion battery provides up to three hours of continuous operation on a full charge.

Is the cable replaceable if it breaks?

The cable is a fixed component of the inspection system; please contact Draper support if you experience structural failure.

Troubleshooting

Image is blurry or distorted

Clean the camera lens tip with a clean, dry microfiber cloth to remove grease or dust particles.

Device fails to power on

Connect the device to a power source using the charging cable and allow it to charge for at least one hour before attempting to turn it on again.

Cable is difficult to push through pipes

Ensure the cable is not knotted or kinked; use a slow, rotating motion to navigate through curves or obstructions.

Pros and Cons

Dual-lens technology increases field of view flexibility.
Long 5m cable allows for deep-access inspections.
Three-hour battery life supports extended work sessions.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin, ensure the unit is fully charged via the provided cable before your first use. To set up, power on the display, carefully straighten the inspection cable, and guide it into your target area slowly.

Care Instructions:

Wipe the camera lens with a microfiber cloth after every use to remove debris.
When coiling the 5m cable, avoid wrapping it too tightly to prevent kinking the internal wiring.
Store the device in a cool, dry place and ensure the battery is charged at least once every three months to preserve health.
Avoid exposing the camera head to corrosive chemicals that may damage the lens seals.
