FAQs
Can I machine wash these gloves?
No, machine washing will damage the latex and the stitching. Always hand wash with mild soap and water.
How often should I dampen the palms?
It is recommended to lightly mist or dampen the palms before every match or practice session to maximize the grip.
Are these gloves suitable for children?
Size 7 is generally suitable for older children, youth players, or adults with smaller hands. Please measure your hand to ensure a proper fit.
Should I store them in a plastic bag?
Avoid storing them in sealed plastic bags, as this can encourage mold growth. Use a breathable mesh bag instead.
Will the grip work on concrete?
The latex is optimized for grass. Using these on concrete will cause the latex to tear and wear out extremely quickly.
Troubleshooting
Gloves feel slippery after a few uses
The latex surface may have collected dust or dirt. Clean the palms with warm water and a specialized glove cleaner or mild soap.
Wrist strap keeps coming undone
Check the touch-fastener (Velcro) for debris or grass fibers that prevent it from sticking properly. Remove the debris to restore the seal.
Latex is showing small cracks
This is a sign of dehydration or excessive abrasion. Ensure you are dampening the gloves before use and storing them in a cool, shaded area.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent grip performance for consistent ball handling
- Breathable materials reduce sweat buildup
- Adjustable straps ensure a secure, personalized fit
- Durable construction suitable for regular training use
Cons
- Latex palm surface will show wear over time with heavy use
- Not intended for extreme professional-level impact protection
- Requires regular cleaning to maintain maximum tackiness
Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Setup: Before first use, gently dampen the latex palms with water to activate the grip properties. Adjust the touch-fastening wrist strap until the glove feels snug but not restrictive.
- Compatibility: These Size 7 gloves are designed for youth or adult players with smaller hand dimensions. Ensure the fit is secure enough that the fingers do not slide within the glove.
- Care: After every use, wipe the palms clean with a damp cloth to remove dirt and sweat. Do not machine wash. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as these can dry out the latex and cause it to crack.
