The AB Tools Swing Gate Long Eye Bolt is designed for professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts needing a reliable, heavy-duty solution for hanging wooden or metal gates. Its primary benefit is the fully adjustable threaded design, which allows for precise leveling of gates post-installation, though users should note that the M24 thread size requires a specific drill bit diameter for mounting.

Yes, the eye bolt is compatible with both metal and wooden gate frames.
The thread size is M24.
No, this product includes the bolt and two nuts only; mounting plates or brackets must be sourced separately.
The thread length is 150mm.
While the zinc plating provides corrosion resistance, coastal areas with high salt exposure may require additional protective coatings or regular maintenance.
Clear any debris or paint from the exposed threads and apply a penetrating oil to loosen the nuts.
Check that the mounting nuts are tightened securely against the gate post, or check the gate post itself for signs of structural rot or leaning.
To install, drill a pilot hole into your gate post corresponding to the M24 thread diameter. Insert the eye bolt and use the provided nuts to sandwich the post securely. Regularly inspect the threads for debris or corrosion if located near the coast. While zinc plating offers high rust resistance, applying a light coat of silicone grease to the threads during installation can prevent seizing, allowing for smoother adjustments years later.
