Use a small, stiff-bristled brush to gently remove trapped metal shavings from the grooves.
It is intended for standard copper and soft alloy plumbing pipes; use on harder materials like stainless steel may significantly reduce the lifespan of the tool.

Ensure the pipe end is not significantly deformed or out-of-round; if the pipe is oval-shaped, use a pipe rounder first.
This tool requires no complex setup; it is ready to use immediately out of the packaging. It is compatible with most common plumbing pipe materials, including copper and soft alloys up to 35mm. To maintain optimal performance, regularly clear away metal shavings from the internal cutting teeth using a stiff brush. Do not use high-impact force or blunt-force strikes to clear debris, as this may damage the alignment of the cutting blades. Store the tool in a dry environment to prevent corrosion of the metal components.
