FAQs

What type of light bulb does the Crosby Table Lamp use?

The Crosby Table Lamp typically uses a standard E27 bulb holder. Please refer to the product's specific details for recommended bulb wattage and type (e.g., LED, incandescent) to ensure optimal performance and safety.

How do I clean the sandblasted brass part?

For the sandblasted brass, use a soft, dry cloth for regular dusting. Avoid harsh chemicals. If cleaning is required, use a specialized brass cleaner very sparingly, testing on an inconspicuous area first, and follow the cleaner's instructions carefully to preserve the textured finish.

Is the linen shade replaceable?

Shade replacement availability may vary. It is best to contact the manufacturer or the retailer from whom you purchased the lamp to inquire about replacement shade options.

Can the lamp be used with a dimmer switch?

Compatibility with dimmer switches depends on the light bulb used. Ensure you are using a dimmable bulb and that the electrical system is compatible. The lamp itself does not contain a built-in dimmer.

What are the dimensions of the different sizes?

The Crosby Table Lamp is available in three sizes. Specific dimensions for each size (e.g., height, shade diameter) can be found in the detailed product specifications provided by Original BTC or the retailer.

Is the cable length standard?

The sand cotton braided cable length is designed to be practical for most table lamp placements. Exact cable length details are usually available in the product's technical specifications.

Troubleshooting

Lamp does not turn on.

Ensure the lamp is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check that the light bulb is correctly screwed in and is not burnt out. Test with a different, known-working bulb.

Light flickers intermittently.

This could indicate a loose bulb connection or an issue with the power supply. Ensure the bulb is tightly seated. If the problem persists, check the cable connection and consider the compatibility of the bulb with the dimmer if one is in use.

Shade adjustment is stiff.

Gently adjust the ball joint. Avoid forcing it. If it remains stiff, inspect the joint for any debris or manufacturing anomalies. Contact customer support if necessary.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Unpack the lamp carefully, ensuring all parts are present.
Place the lamp on a stable, level surface.
Insert the compatible light bulb (check product specifications for wattage and type).
Plug the braided cable into a suitable electrical outlet.

Compatibility:

Requires a standard E27 bulb holder.
Check local voltage requirements.
Ensure the light bulb wattage does not exceed the maximum recommended for the fixture to prevent overheating.

Care:

Glass Base: Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface. For stubborn marks, use a mild glass cleaner.
Shade: Dust regularly with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner on a low setting. Spot clean any stains with a slightly damp cloth, working from the outside of the stain inwards. Avoid soaking the fabric.
Brass Accents: Clean with a soft, dry cloth. For polished brass, a specialized brass cleaner can be used sparingly, following product instructions. The sandblasted finish may require specific care to maintain its texture.
