FAQs

What does '100m water resistant' mean for this watch?

100m water resistance means the watch is suitable for everyday wear, showering, bathing, and swimming in shallow water. It is not designed for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports like jet skiing or surfing.

Is the Sapphire glass truly scratch-proof?

Sapphire glass is highly scratch-resistant, much more so than mineral glass. While extremely durable, it is not 100% scratch-proof and can still be scratched by very hard materials like diamonds or extreme impacts.

How do I adjust the time and date on my watch?

Pull the crown out to the first click to adjust the date by turning it. Pull it out to the second click to adjust the time by turning it. Always push the crown back in fully after adjustment to maintain water resistance.

What is titanium and why is it used?

Titanium is a strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant metal. In watches, it offers significant weight reduction compared to stainless steel, making the watch more comfortable to wear, and it is also hypoallergenic.

Does the watch require a battery?

Yes, as a quartz watch, it is powered by a battery. The battery life typically lasts several years, after which it will need to be replaced by a professional.

How should I clean my Seiko SUR375P1?

Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For the titanium bracelet, you can use a mild soap and water solution, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Is there a warranty included with the watch?

Yes, the watch is shipped with an original box and a manufacturer's guarantee. Please refer to the guarantee documentation for specific terms and duration.

Troubleshooting

Date does not change at midnight.

Ensure the watch hands are not set to the 'pm' hours when adjusting the date. The date mechanism typically advances between 9 PM and and 3 AM. If the date changes at noon, you may need to advance the time by 12 hours.

Watch has stopped or is running inaccurately.

This usually indicates the battery needs replacement. Contact an authorized Seiko service center or a reputable watchmaker for battery replacement to ensure water resistance is maintained.

Condensation appears under the Sapphire glass.

This suggests a potential compromise in the watch's water resistance. Bring the watch to a professional watch repair service immediately to prevent further damage to the movement.

Bracelet feels loose or too tight.

The titanium bracelet can be adjusted by adding or removing links. This process requires specialized tools and is best performed by a jeweler or watch technician to ensure proper fit and avoid damage.

Pros and Cons

Exceptional durability and lightness due to titanium case and bracelet.
High water resistance (100m) suitable for swimming and daily activities.
Superior scratch protection with Sapphire glass.

Comfortable and secure fit with a push-button release clasp.

Cons

Battery life is finite and will eventually require replacement.

Setup To set the time, pull the crown out to the second click. Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands. To set the date, pull the crown out to the first click and turn it to adjust the date. Push the crown back in fully to start the watch and ensure water resistance.

Compatibility This product is a standalone watch and does not require compatibility with other devices.

Care To maintain your Seiko SUR375P1, rinse it with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or chlorine. Clean the case and bracelet periodically with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the crown is always pushed in completely to maintain water resistance. Store the watch away from extreme temperatures and strong magnetic fields when not in use. While 100m water resistant, avoid steam rooms, saunas, and high-pressure water jets, as these can compromise seals.
