The Maxland Extendable Nursery Fire Guard is an essential safety solution for parents and pet owners seeking to secure their home environment against open fireplaces and log burners. This robust barrier offers the critical benefit of preventing accidental contact with hot surfaces and stray embers, providing parents with peace of mind. While the guard is exceptionally strong, users should note that its heavy-duty design and adjustable width require a stable, flat surface for proper mounting to ensure the most effective protection.

The guard stands at an overall height of 91.5cm.
Yes, the guard is adjustable and can span any width between 92cm and 168cm.
The guard is constructed from durable galvanised steel designed to withstand proximity to fire, though it should not be placed in direct contact with flames.
Yes, the dense construction acts as an effective spark guard, containing embers within the fireplace area.
The unit arrives as a pre-assembled system of interlocking panels for quick deployment.
Ensure the interlocking segments are fully engaged and tightened according to the manufacturer's configuration.
Check for debris on the hearth surface or adjust the floor-leveling positioning of the frame feet.
To set up your guard, place it centered in front of your fireplace and extend the panels until the required width is achieved. Ensure all interlocking mechanisms are secured before use. For maintenance, allow the guard to cool completely before attempting to adjust or move it. Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe away dust; avoid harsh chemical cleaners that might strip the heat-resistant black finish. Regularly inspect the interlocking panels to ensure they remain tightly coupled and that no loose hardware has developed over the heating season.
