The Bailcast Duraboot (DBC200) is a high-performance, stretchy CV boot designed for DIY mechanics and automotive technicians looking for a durable, universal-fit OE replacement for trilobal and tripod joints. This kit provides superior protection against grease, oil, and road debris, ensuring the longevity of your driveshaft assembly. While it offers versatile installation options, it is important to verify your specific joint dimensions—shaft diameter of 19-27mm, joint diameter of 71-95mm, and length of 90-112mm—to ensure compatibility before starting your repair.

Yes, each DBC200 kit includes a sachet of high-quality grease specifically formulated for CV joint lubrication.
This boot is specifically designed for trilobal and tripod joints; check your specific vehicle manual for joint compatibility.
The Bailcast Duraboot DBC200 is backed by a two-year quality guarantee against manufacturing defects.
While it can be installed with a manual cone, using a pneumatic tool like the Duragun will significantly speed up the process.
The DBC200 supports a shaft diameter of up to 27mm.
Ensure you are using a properly lubricated cone or the recommended pneumatic expansion tool.
Verify that the stainless steel ear clamps were tightened correctly using an appropriate ear-clamp crimping tool.
Re-check the length measurements; if the boot is too long for the specific joint assembly, it may need to be adjusted or swapped for the correct sizing.
Before installation, ensure the driveshaft is clean and free of old grease and rust. Check your vehicle's specific measurements against the DBC200 specifications (19-27mm shaft, 71-95mm joint, 90-112mm length) to avoid improper fitment. To install, apply the provided grease to the joint area thoroughly. If using the cone method, lubricate the cone and carefully pull the boot over it onto the driveshaft. Once in position, tighten the stainless steel ear clamps using an ear-clamp tool to ensure a permanent seal. Routine inspection of the boot for surface cracks or clamp loosening during regular oil changes is recommended to maintain a two-year service life.
