FAQs

What material is the Nuie Quadrant Shower Tray made from?

It is constructed from 'Pearlstone Matrix', a patented material consisting of polyurethane resin mixed with a filler including volcanic ash. It is then capped with acrylic.

How much does this tray weigh compared to traditional trays?

It is up to 50% lighter than conventional stone resin trays, making it easier to handle and install.

What is the height of this slimline tray?

The tray has a slim profile, measuring approximately 40-45mm in height.

Is this tray suitable for a wetroom installation?

Yes, its slimline design makes it ideal for modern and contemporary wetroom designs.

What size waste trap should I use?

This tray is compatible with standard 90mm diameter shower waste traps.

What is the warranty on this shower tray?

Nuie offers a lifetime guarantee on this shower tray.

Can I install this tray on a wooden floor?

Yes, but ensure the floor joists provide adequate support and the subfloor is perfectly level and stable before installation.

Troubleshooting

Tray is not level

Adjust the adjustable feet. If the subfloor is uneven, it may require additional leveling compound before installation.

Water pooling on the tray surface

Ensure the waste trap is installed correctly and is not blocked. Verify the tray is perfectly level, allowing water to drain freely.

Scratches on the surface

Minor scratches can sometimes be buffed out using a plastic polish designed for acrylic surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaning methods.

Difficulty attaching feet

Ensure you are using the correct screws and that the screw retention points are clear of debris. Do not overtighten.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and perfectly level. Use appropriate leveling compounds if necessary.
