Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before your first use, wash the wok with warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly. While enamelled cast iron is more forgiving than raw cast iron, it is best to use silicone or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the surface. When cooking, allow the pan to preheat gradually over medium heat to prevent thermal shock. Always use oven mitts, as the cast iron handles will become extremely hot. For cleaning, allow the pan to cool completely before washing; avoid using abrasive scrubbers or steel wool, as these can damage the enamel. Hand washing is highly recommended to extend the life of the finish.
