FAQs

Does this set include an inner duvet or comforter?

No, this is a quilted bedspread set designed to be used as a decorative cover layer, though it provides moderate warmth on its own.

What size are the included pillow shams?

The shams are designed to fit standard king-size pillows to ensure a coordinated look with the bedspread.

Is this bedspread machine washable?

Yes, but it is recommended to use a large-capacity machine to avoid straining the fabric and to ensure thorough cleaning.

Can this be used on a bed with a high frame?

The drape of the bedspread depends on the thickness of your mattress and the height of the frame; check the standard king dimensions against your bed size for the best fit.

Is the fabric prone to fading?

The fabric is durable, but to preserve the color, avoid leaving the bedspread in direct, intense sunlight for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

Visible creases after unpacking

Gently steam the bedspread on a low setting or let it settle on the bed for 24-48 hours; creases usually release with ambient humidity.

Stitching pulling or snagging

Avoid contact with sharp objects or pet claws; if a loose thread occurs, trim it carefully with fabric scissors rather than pulling.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Adds immediate texture and warmth to bedroom decor
  • Matching shams ensure a cohesive design
  • Durable enough for daily, long-term use
  • Soft, padded texture provides enhanced comfort
  • Neutral beige tone blends well with most color palettes

Cons

  • Requires careful laundering to maintain the integrity of the stitching
  • King size may be bulky to store when not in use
  • Limited to the specific beige colorway provided

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your Velosso Nolan Bedspread, ensure the mattress is properly cleared and the base sheets are smoothed out to prevent bunching under the quilted fabric. The king-size dimensions are designed to drape over the edges of a standard king mattress, providing a clean, framed look.

Care Instructions:

  1. Wash on a gentle cycle with like colors to protect the quilted stitching.
  2. Use mild detergents; avoid harsh bleaching agents that may affect the semi-printed fabric.
  3. Air drying is recommended to maintain the loft of the padding, though a low-heat tumble dry may be used if the care label permits.
  4. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area when not in use to prevent moisture buildup within the quilted layers.
