The 3000 series postal cars, owned by the General Directorate of Post, were a development of the UIC-X type box that was giving such good results in service. The design was carried out by the Directorate of General Equipment of RENFE and the construction by CAF, all of them were built in the workshops of Beasain. These cars were equipped with a boiler for heating and were characterized by their livery, a distinguished green color.
