Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: The Kpatos FM601 XL is designed to fit a range of passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs. Always ensure the tire size, load index, and speed rating match your vehicle's specifications or requirements as indicated in your owner's manual.
Installation: Professional installation by a certified mechanic is recommended to ensure proper mounting, balancing, and alignment. Incorrect installation can affect tire performance and safety.
Care and Maintenance:
- Tire Pressure: Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the manufacturer's recommended PSI, typically found on a sticker in the driver's side doorjamb or in the owner's manual. Proper inflation ensures optimal performance, fuel efficiency, and tread life.
- Rotation: Rotate tires every 5,000-7,500 miles to ensure even wear. This helps prolong the tire's lifespan and maintains consistent handling.
- Alignment and Balancing: Periodically check your vehicle's wheel alignment and tire balance. Misalignment or imbalance can lead to uneven wear and affect driving comfort.
- Visual Inspection: Inspect tires regularly for any signs of damage, such as cuts, bulges, or embedded objects, and check tread depth to ensure it meets legal and safety standards.
- Driving Habits: Avoid aggressive acceleration, hard braking, and sharp cornering, which can accelerate tire wear.
