No, this is a door-only product. You must ensure you have a compatible fire-rated frame installed.
Minor trimming is possible, but caution is advised as you must maintain the integrity of the fire-resistant construction. Consult the manufacturer's specific guidelines regarding maximum trim allowances.
Yes, all glazed panels in XL Joinery fire doors are designed to meet safety glazing standards.
It means the door has been factory-finished with a high-quality coating, so it is ready to hang immediately without the need for additional painting or varnishing.
No, this product is intended strictly for internal use and is not designed to withstand external weather conditions.
This door is rated for 30 minutes of fire protection (FD30).
Check that the hinges are correctly recessed and that the frame is perfectly square. Ensure there is enough clearance, but do not trim the door excessively, as this may compromise the fire rating.
Clean the glass using a standard glass cleaner applied to a microfiber cloth, avoiding direct contact with the wood finish to prevent potential discoloration.
For optimal fire safety performance, ensure the door is fitted with intumescent seals and the appropriate fire-rated hardware, including hinges and latches. The door dimensions are 1981 x 686 x 44mm; verify that your existing door frame accommodates these specific measurements, as the 44mm thickness is greater than standard non-fire doors. Maintenance is simple: wipe the oak veneer with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents or excessive water on the glazed panels to maintain the clarity and finish of the wood.
