Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Setting up your Barilo Bio Ethanol Stove is straightforward due to its freestanding design and lack of flue requirements. Unpack the stove and place it on a stable, level, non-combustible surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance from walls (typically at least 1 meter from any combustible materials) and other objects. The integrated log storage is for decorative logs only; do not store actual firewood or other combustibles in this space.
Compatibility
- Fuel: This stove is compatible *only* with liquid bio ethanol fuel. Do not use gel fuel, gasoline, lighter fluid, or any other flammable liquids.
- Placement: Suitable for indoor use only in well-ventilated areas. Not recommended for small, unventilated rooms or bathrooms.
- Accessories: Only use the supplied control tool for adjusting the burner opening.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning the Stove Body: Wipe the matte black exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish. Ensure the stove is completely cool before cleaning.
- Cleaning the Burner: Periodically, the stainless steel burner can be cleaned. Once completely cool and empty of fuel, wipe it with a damp cloth. If there are any stubborn residues, a mild dish soap solution can be used, ensuring it is thoroughly rinsed and dried before refilling.
- Decorative Guard: Wipe clean as needed with a soft cloth.
- Long-Term Storage: If storing the stove for an extended period, ensure the burner is completely empty and clean.
