The V-Gard 950 Class 2 safety helmet is engineered for electrical work with arc flash protection up to 7 kA. It's a balanced, lightweight, unvented helmet made of ABS for strength and lateral crush protection. Features a modern, sporty shell design and a 6-point Fas-Trac III ratchet suspension with a premium, washable, and replaceable sweatband for smooth rotation and stability. The low-profile design includes a patented visor mechanism that minimizes shell size. It comes with a GS-ET-29 Class 2 (7kA) light blue integrated faceshield offering protection against impact, chemical splash, UV radiation, molten metal splash, and electric arcs. The faceshield has a protective foam seal at the top and a premium anti-fog/anti-scratch coating, fitting over corrective or safety glasses. The faceshield movement is reliable and operable with one hand, even when wearing gloves, and offers two positions: up or fully down. Unique extended ear and neck flaps provide arc flash protection up to 7kA in two positions: working or stand-by. A channel around the helmet's perimeter diverts rain and debris. It includes a 4-point chinstrap for secure retention and offers protection against molten metal (MM option). This helmet is electrically insulating, meeting EN 397 (440 V AC) and EN 50365 (1000 V AC). It also features an anti-static assembly, certified by ELECTROSTATIC-INERIS for use in ATEX/explosive environments. The helmet is delivered in a protective, reusable storage bag.
