The HBN Remote Control Plug Socket 5-Pack is designed for homeowners seeking convenient, wireless control over their household appliances and lighting systems. It offers the key benefit of managing devices from up to 100 feet away, effectively eliminating the need to reach behind furniture or walk across the room to toggle switches. However, prospective users should note that the system operates on a radio frequency signal, which may be obstructed by thick walls or large metal objects, potentially limiting range in certain home layouts.

Ensure the appliance is within the 13A current limit and perform a power cycle by unplugging the unit for 10 seconds before plugging it back in.
Setting up your HBN sockets involves simply plugging the receiver into a standard grounded wall outlet and connecting your appliance into the receiver's socket. The system arrives pre-paired, though instructions are provided if re-syncing is ever required. To ensure longevity, avoid exposing the units to water or outdoor elements, as they are designed for indoor use only. Clean the exterior of the sockets periodically with a dry, soft cloth, and ensure the remote batteries are replaced when you notice a decrease in operating range or responsiveness.
